AEC New Website, Designed to Stimulate and Facilitate Use of Aluminum Extrusions
The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC), the definitive trade association for the North American aluminum extrusion industry, is pleased to announce the launch of a new revitalized website at aec.org. The website was redesigned to better communicate the potential of extrusions, with restructured content, simplified site navigation and an updated, contemporary look and feel. The tagline, “Aluminum Extrusion: Not Just Extrusion. Solutions”, evokes the central theme of the website, demonstrating how aluminum extrusions offer a wealth of solutions to design challenges.
“The new AEC website was created with design, engineering and manufacturing industry professionals in mind,” commented Jason Weber, leader of AEC’s Marketing Team, and VP of Sales & Marketing for Taber Extrusions in Gulfport, MS. “There are so many ways that extrusions can contribute to product advancement, whether in electronics, industrial equipment, autos, building components or a host of other products. Our objective was to both stimulate creative utilization of extrusions and facilitate the process for incorporating extrusions in product designs. The website has a brand new, contemporary look and navigation has been streamlined, which makes finding information and resources easier than our old site.”
Content is centered around extruded aluminum’s many benefits and attributes, including Advantages, Sustainability, Industries Applications, Design Tips, and Resources. For example, Advantages includes the many ‘Features and Benefits’ of aluminum extrusions, Material Comparisons, an overview of Domestic Supply, and the newly updated Environmental Product Declarations for aluminum extrusion. The Design section includes a wealth of information on how to design with aluminum extrusion such as dies & tooling, extrusion design tips, integrating functionality, thermal management and more.
Visitors will still be able to access popular content from the prior site, such as “Find an Extruder” and the Aluminum Extrusion Manual, as well as other publications, FAQs and AEC webinars focused on content important to the various markets for aluminum extrusions
Visitors will also find a link in the “AEC” section to the ET Seminar, next scheduled for April 30th – May 2, 2024, in Orlando, Florida – the aluminum extrusion industry’s most important and respected technical conference.
AEC members will find exclusive content, including training materials and event registration, in the Members section.
When visiting the new website, visitors can sign up to add their name to the AEC email list to stay abreast of Council news and information, including new publications, upcoming webinars and events, and more.
AEC invites everyone to explore the new website and update their bookmarks at aec.org.
