Alfiniti, Inc. recently had the honor of supporting the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation at a special event in Pittsburgh, held in recognition of the Marine Corps’ 250th birthday. The evening brought together members of the Marine community, scholarship recipients, and their families to celebrate the impact of the Foundation’s work in Pennsylvania and beyond.
The event, sponsored by Art Rooney, owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, highlighted the Foundation’s mission of providing educational opportunities to the sons and daughters of Marine Corps veterans. In addition to recognizing scholarship recipients and their families, the program also included the presentation of the Semper Fidelis Award to Mr. Rob Woodings for his service and commitment to the Marine community.
As part of the evening’s program, Alfiniti’s own Steve James presented a donation to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. In a particularly meaningful moment, he had the privilege of presenting the check to his son, Richard S. James II, a Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The donation will help fund college scholarships for children of Marine Corps veterans, continuing a long tradition of investing in the next generation of leaders.
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation focuses specifically on educational support. Funds are dedicated to helping the sons and daughters of Marines attend college, giving families a tangible acknowledgement of the sacrifices made during their service. By contributing to this effort, Alfiniti is proud to stand alongside an organization whose values of dedication, discipline, and service closely mirror those that guide our own work.
For Alfiniti, this is more than a one-time gesture. It reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where our employees and their families live and work, and to honoring those who have served. We are grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in the Foundation’s mission and to recognize Marine families whose sacrifices often extend far beyond active duty.
Alfiniti looks forward to continuing its support of initiatives that invest in education, strengthen our communities, and honor the service of veterans and their families.
